This formula is designed to ensure that children receive consistent financial support regardless of which county the case is filed in. The formula takes into account several key factors:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Each parent&#8217;s net monthly disposable income<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">The percentage of time each parent spends with the child<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Tax filing status and deductions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Health insurance costs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Mandatory union dues or retirement contributions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Hardships such as other children from different relationships<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Income Is the Starting Point<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The court looks at each parent&#8217;s gross income from all sources \u2014 wages, self-employment, rental income, investments, and even unemployment benefits.
